Forex brokers - The real and the fake!

Anyone entering the Forex industry has one worry in the foremost part of their minds, that of finding a genuine broker to work with. It is not only desirable to get a broker who is part of a legitimate organization but it is also essential in order to save oneself from the dearth of con artists who take the huge sums of money that some people invest and then just disappear into thin air, stealing the whole amount of money. Before discussing the topic of how to recognize a genuine Forex broker, and differentiating him/her from a fraud one, it is useful to understand the difference between the Forex and the regular stock exchange. The following points are where they differ:

1. In Forex, the trading goes on around the clock. There are no times in the day when the markets are closed, giving the traders enough opportunities to make profits.

2. There is no central management that governs the dealings of the Forex markets. There aren’t any rules and regulations to curb the ill practices of rogue brokers.

3. No single authority exists to which brokers and traders have to report to, making the market a sort of a battle ground where the skill and intelligence of a trader and broker wins profits.

The above realities make it difficult to track down anyone if someone is cheated or conned. Although one can find many genuine brokers online, persons connected with well-reputed institutions, many con artists also lurk around acting as real brokers. They paint a beautiful picture to the investors and convince them of the future monetary prospects but then cheat the investors leaving them high and dry without any returns from their investments. The brokers turn out to be ghost agents, leaving no trail behind.
One should avoid companies which are relatively small in size and that do not have any legitimate connections with financial agencies. Only invest your money with a broker who has a good reputation among the traders.

The main thing is to do some research prior to choosing a broker and also use a little bit of common sense. As long as you follow the above instructions you should be fine and will definitely see some great profits in the world of Forex.
